Oh Taiwan

So I just came back from taiwan this past weekend and picked up some really cool push pins from the bookstore eslite. If you’re ever in Taipei be sure to check out that place. It’s probably easily twice as big as any borders I’ve ever been to. They had some small designer stores on the first level featuring some stuff from those crazy guys at droog design and some karim rashid stuff. Anyways, I really liked these push pins because it just proves that some of the coolest designs are usually the simplest solutions. If you couldn’t tell from the picture, the clear circular part is a soft rubber material that protects you from being poked and then bends to allow the pin to pierce through when you need to pin something in place. Well, hopefully I can use some of this simple-solution inspiration for my projects this quarter.
