One of my favorite models to work on. This is a 1:300 scale model of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. I made this during my second quarter in model making class. It’s probably a year and half old but I posted it because it was really fun to work on and I was really satisified with the results. It’s mostly made of foam core and some styrene for the side frames. The middle body part you ask? You’ll never guess. Just a white tshirt I bought at michaels that I cut up and stretched out over ribbing out of foamcore and then hot glued in place, haha. Gotta learn to be resourceful if you’re a student. I’m not really sure what to do with the model now though since it’s like 3ft tall and just sits in my study, haha. Any takers?
